Elk Lake Celebrates Civic Holiday Weekend

The highlight of this wekend is the baseball tournament, but that's not all.  The New Prospect Club puts on a breakfast on Saturday and Sunday.  The Curling Club hosts a dance with a live band, The Kings of Nowwhere.  The Recreation Committee organized a steak dinner at the new pavilion on Friday night for $15.00.  This included a strip loin steak, baked potato, salad, and lots of desserts.  The New Prospect Club sponsored a euchre on Sunday night.  Cost $5.00.  After dark on Sunday night local businesses sponsored fireworks, and everyone gathered around the bridge.  Many boaters enjoyed the fireworks from the water.  The firefighters sponsored the beer pavilion again this year.  Lots of things to do here this weekend, and in addition many friends gathered around the campfires and talked and caught up on whats happening.
